FIDE International Organizers Online Seminar Results, February 2022
FIDE IO Online Seminar was held online from 22nd to 25th February 2022 via Zoom.
It was organized by the Asian Chess Federation Academy under the auspices of FIDE Events Commission.
The opening session was attended by Hisham Al-Taher, General Secretary of the Asian Chess Federation, Ozgur Solakoglu, Chairman of the FIDE Events Commission, Casto Abundo, ACF Executive Director, and Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh, Secretary of FIDE Rules Commission.
At the opening ceremony of the Seminar, the head of the FIDE Events commission welcomed the participants to the Seminar and urged them to make full use of the information that the lecturer will provide, especially with regard to the amendments to the regulations and rules of competitions and organization. He wished everyone good luck.
IO Casto Abundo, Executive Director of the Asian Chess Federation, delivered the speech of the Asian Chess Federation on behalf of Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President of the Asian Chess Federation, who praised the efforts of the Academy of the Asian Chess Federation and Asian lecturers in organizing courses to prepare, qualify and develop technical cadres in the Asian member countries and all Arabic speaking countries.
The Lecturer of the Seminar was the FIDE Lecturer IO/IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE) FIDE Rules Commission Chairman and Chairman of the ACF Arbiters Commission. The seminar was moderated by Hisham Al-Taher, Secretary General of the Asian Chess Federation.
The Language of the Seminar was in Arabic.
Daily lectures were from 18.00-22.00 Dubai Time (+4 GMT). 26th February 2022 was the seminar examination test (3 Hours)
Thirty-Three (36) participants registered from Fourteen (14) federations, namely BRN, JOR, YEM, IRQ, KSA, LEB, EGY, LBA, TUN, MAR, SUD, PLE, SYR, and UAE. Twenty-Eight (28) of them passed the examination test which was held after the end of the lectures.
The Seminar will give FIDE IO norm, Seminar Certificate according to the Regulations for the FIDE Events Commission after the approval of the next FIDE Council meeting.
