Report FIDE IO Seminar Online, December 2021

North America Chess Hub under the auspices of FIDE Events Commission organized a FIDE International Organisers Seminar from 11 to 19 December 2021 (in two weekends). The seminar attended 28 participants among them well-known Grandmasters and organisers mainly from the United States of America.

The seminar was conducted by IO and FIDE Lecturer Mr. Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou and technical assistant for the examination part Mr. Michalis Prevenios. The Chairman of FIDE Events Commission Mr. Ozgur Solakoglu was invited to welcome all participants and answer questions about tournaments experience and the future plans of Commission. A part of lectures was dedicated to new FIDE regulations for Online and Hybrid chess events and to the changes in Rating and Titles regulations that concern organisers.

Twenty (27) participants took the examination successfully and achieved a FIDE International organizer norm:
