FIDE IO Online Seminar, November 2022 / Results
FIDE IO Online Seminar was held on Zoom from 18th to 27th November 2022.
It was organized by Tatweer Chess Academy under the auspices of FIDE Events Commission.
The opening session was attended by Mrs. Kadimova, Ilaha Former Secretary of the Events Commission. On behalf of FIDE Events Commission Chairman, she welcomed the participants in the Seminar and wished them to make full use of the information that the lecturer will provide and wished everyone good luck.
The Lecturer of the Seminar was the FIDE Lecturer IO/IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE) Former Chairman of the Rules Commission, FIDE Arbiters Commission Councillor. The Assistant were IO Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh (IRI), and FA Obay Ali (SUD). The Language of the Seminar was in English.
Daily lectures were from 18.00 – 22.00 Dubai Time (+4 GMT).
3rd December 2022 was the seminar examination test (3 Hours)
Forty one (41) participants are registered from Twenty two (22) federations, there were from: Sudan, USA, Egypt, Greece, Spain, India, Poland, Bangladesh, Philippines, Ireland, UK, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Suriname, Slovakia, Switzerland, Myanmar, Pakistan, Niger, Cameroon, Syria and Kenya.
Thirty (30) of them attended the exam, and Twenty seven (27) of them passed the examination test.
The Seminar will give FIDE IO norm, Seminar Certificate according to the Regulations for the FIDE Events Commission after the approval of the next FIDE Council meeting.

FIDE IO Seminar – TCA report
Tatweer Chess Academy organized the seminar between 18th and 27st November 2022, and the final exam was held on December, 3.
The seminar extended over this period, with extensive material.
The long duration of the seminar gave an opportunity for the participants to pass with high marks, as absorption of knowledge was better than shorter seminars, specially that 4 lecturers participated in teaching.
41 participants from 22 countries joined the seminar, 30 of them attended the exam, and 27 of them passed with over 80% result.
Most of the participants were from Sudan, USA, Egypt, Greece, India, Poland, Spain and U.K.
Some of the participants are officials in their national federations and FIDE commissions, including presidents of federations.
Tatweer Chess Academy applied its policy of no-fees for people with disabilities, and special rates for women, students and selected participants of special cases, and from certain regions.
The organizing committee consisted of:
Obay Ali (head of committee), Rawan Ehab (administrative issues), M. Mazen (financial issues), and Abdelsalam Ghareeb (technical issues), all of Sudan.
Mr. Ghareeb and Miss Rawan were also observers for the exams, which were done under live cameras.
Four lecturers from 3 continents participated in affording the knowledge in English language, with the main lecturer being IA \ IO Mahdi Abdulrahim of UAE.

- A WhatsApp group was working 24\7 to discuss and answer inquiries during the 3 weeks.
- Some of the participants had no access to some online applications in their countries, so lectures were attended by them through the academy YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@TatweerChessAcademy)
and by emails.
